Privacy Policy
CrewRest is a layover sleep planner for airline crew, made by SenecaLabs For Computer Systems & Communication Equipment Software Design ("Seneca Labs", "we"), a sole establishment registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (licence no. 1637377). This policy explains what CrewRest stores, why, where, and how to remove it. Contact: contact@senecalabs.co.
The short version
- We store what's needed to plan your layovers and keep them across your phones. Nothing else.
- No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no selling or sharing your data for marketing. No usage analytics.
- Your sleep scores never leave your phone.
- Your body-clock answers are only backed up to your account if you say yes, and you can change your mind any time.
- Deleting your account deletes everything.

We don't ask for your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera. Alarms and notifications are created on your phone.
Health information and consent
Your body-clock answers describe your sleep habits, so we treat them as health information. We only store them in your account with your explicit consent, given on a dedicated screen in the app. You can withdraw it any time in Settings › You › Back up body clock; we then delete the copy in your account and your phone keeps its own.
Who processes your data
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Crashlytics) stores your account and synced data. Your layovers, settings and any backed-up body-clock answers are stored in Google Cloud Firestore in Europe (Belgium and the Netherlands). Your data is stored in Google's data centres, which may be outside the United Arab Emirates.
- RevenueCat manages subscriptions. It receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase records from Apple or Google.
- Apple and Google handle payments under their own privacy policies. We never see your card details.
- Links to Google Maps or the App Store open those services under their own policies.
How long we keep it
- Layovers: your 20 most recent finished layovers are kept; older ones are deleted automatically. Saved layovers are kept until you delete them.
- Everything else: until you delete it or delete your account.
- Crash reports: 90 days.
Your rights
You can see and change your data in the app, delete layovers, withdraw consent, and delete your account (Settings › Account › Delete account, or see crewrest.senecalabs.co/delete-account). Depending on where you live (for example under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law or the EU/UK GDPR), you also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict or object to processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to contact@senecalabs.co and we'll answer within 30 days.
Legal bases (GDPR): providing the service you asked for (account, layovers, settings); your explicit consent (body-clock backup); our legitimate interest in fixing crashes.
Children
CrewRest is for working airline crew and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we'll update this page and, where consent is involved, ask you again in the app.
Not medical advice
CrewRest is a planning aid. It is not a fatigue risk management system or medical advice. Your company's FRMS and your own judgement come first.
